Hi! I am Hurley..I am a 1 year old Goldendoodle. I was born on March 31st, 2011. I belong to a really awesome family. I have a lot of fun with them. They take me everywhere..I love to ride in the car with my head out the window, love to run in the dog park, enjoy scaring the geese, love to chase a ball and most of all...love to be scratched in all my favorite spots! Lately though, a lot has been happening to me.
In November, I had a cyst on my head rupture. My mom took me to the vet..they shaved my head (which I did not like) and stuck these needles in my head. (which I did not like even MORE!) and put me antibotics. They did a Cytology on me. It came back that I had Keratin Cysts. Well, my mom wanted a second opinion and went to another vet. He agreed and changed my antibotics, to something stronger. He said there was a chance that the cysts would go down. After a couple of weeks they started to get better..we thought it was over....
Well on March 25th my mom saw that on top of my head a cyst seemed to fill overnight and rupture. She took me to the Emergency Vet in Greenbrier, VA. The vet on call was very nice...she gave me treat..2 paws up for that! Then I got my head shaved again. When I came out to see my mom she looked weird. My mom saw the 6 huge cysts on my head. She looked concerned. They all were. Well, the Dermatologist that works in the building decided after he got a call about me to come in and see me! It was his day off and Dr. David Genovese came in free of charge to see me and do a biopsy on me. After he saw me, I was put on more antibotics and wait for the biopsy report to come back. After a few days it came back. I do not have cancer! I have Follicular Infundibular Cysts. They need to be removed though with surgery. My mom me that when they remove the cysts that I will look "funny". That they have to cut out a lot of skin to get the entire cyst. This is going to cause me to look different..but I am happy with that! It won't cause me any pain..it's keeping these cysts on my head that causing it. So, looking different is fine with me! The vets are optimistic that the outcome will be good! We just need to get this surgery!
My mom has been trying to find ways of getting help for me. She has been on the Internet for hours...I kept telling her about Facebook..I mean I am a doodle and know about Facebook! So, I got her to let me get my own page!

This website has a page just for me! They verified my story and got permission from my Dermatologist, Dr. David Genovese to put all his info on there. I am ready to get these off! The cost of the surgery is 2,125.00
It will be in two surgeries. The 2 cysts between my eyes for 1500.00 and two months later the 4 on top. 625.00
